Connect Newsletter
April 2022

Dear friend,

In 1 Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul writes that while we are all part of one body - the body of Christ - each one of us plays a unique role. He compares it to a foot being unique from an eye; each has a vital yet specific role in the functions of a human body. The Church is much the same, Paul concludes. Members with different abilities all work together to strengthen, edify, uplift, and protect each other and the whole body.

We see those unique abilities on display in today’s newsletter, from dynamic leaders, to expert farmers, to governing board members. We hope that their stories are an encouragement to use what makes you you for the glory of the Kingdom and the good of the world.

There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body. It didn’t matter whether we were Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free people. We were all given the same Spirit to drink. – 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
