Olivia Atkin, 2023/2024 ASCM New Haven Chapter President Warm
Greetings to All Members and Friends of ASCM New Haven Chapter -
I hope this message finds you well. As we near the end of the year and eagerly anticipate the fall and our upcoming program year, we are thrilled to introduce our new board for the 2023/2024 calendar term. Additionally, we have some incredible opportunities for our members, including expert instructor-led certification classes for APICS CPIM, CSCP, and CLTD. You have the option to attend these classes in person or virtually, explore the flipped Classroom concept (where you study at your own pace with one-on-one tutoring available when needed), or choose the fully self-study option. Moreover, we have a lineup of exciting virtual PDMs (Professional Development Meetings) planned for the fall.
A heartfelt thank you to all our members who actively participated in the voting process to elect our new board. Our board members for the upcoming term are as follows: President Olivia Atkin, Executive Vice President Beverly Fernandez Guillen, Vice President of Student Forums Yan Jin, Vice President of Education Chaz Allis, Treasurer Jim Timmons, Vice President of Programs Pervez Khalid, Vice President of Membership Kendelle Rock, Vice President of Communications Robert Gilbert, and Director of Website Development Ken Romer.
We would also like to express our gratitude to all our members who joined us for the past virtual PDM events. We were delighted to witness the impressive turnout and engage with everyone. Some of our recent events included discussions on Operations Management Career Opportunities/Career Night Panel, S&OP Secrets that Only NASA Can Teach You, and Documenting Processes in a Manner That Makes Sense, among others. Our next event is scheduled for September 13th, 2023, and we will send out event emails towards the end of the summer.
We are already working on the topic list for the 2024-2025 Professional Development Meetings (PDM). If you have any suggestions or topics you would like us to cover, please don't hesitate to email oatkin.newh@gmail.com We always strive to offer engaging topics that our members are eager to explore and learn about.
