Talent Harvest Festival 2022

It’s time for the Talent Harvest Festival! After two years of postponement, this event is coming back better than ever. This family friendly event will be held Saturday October 1 from 10 am to 4 pm. Downtown Talent will be closed off to cars to allow for vendors of all kinds to set up in the streets just like a downtown street party! There will also be food trucks, live music playing at five different stages, face painting, corn hole, art activities and a beer garden at the Grotto.

And to keep the fun going, our Local Goods Pop-up Market will also be part of the festivities. Running from 11 am to 7 pm, this pop-up market will feature some of our regular vendors and some new ones! Did I mention Jack Frost snow cone food truck will be there?!

The bad news is that due to a prior engagement, Bear Creek Malt Supply will be closed that weekend. The good news is that we will have coupons available for pick up during the Talent Harvest Festival that you can use all month long!

Bear Creek Malt Supply will be attending this and many more events in 2023 🍻

Oktoberfest continues!

As Oktoberfest continues, we have some great ways to keep the celebration going. Typically, there are over 66,000 barrels of beer served during this 16-to-18-day annual event. You do not need to be in Munich Germany or royalty to celebrate great beer. And as you know, making your own beer is a reason to celebrate in itself.

We already told you about our Oktoberfest kit (already sold out) but what about a German Style Doppelbock? Doppel, meaning double, was originally made by monks in Munich. Brewed as a more substantial beer to sustain the monks during lengthy fasts, doppelbocks would become to be known as “liquid bread” for its satisfying qualities. The doppelbock beer style is rich and malty and goes very well with food.
