The Chamber was excited to participate, once again, with our Lakeville South Capstone students to produce the second annual "Stepping into your Future" career exploration experience on January 11.
The entire Kenwood Trail Middle School 8th grade class learned about in-demand careers and corresponding high school courses they can take.
During the event, the 8th grade students chose from 14 stations hosted by local businesses/organizations. At each station, students participated in an activity related to a particular field and high school course you can take in the district.
Lakeville South High School seniors Brooke Bischof, Isaac Cin, and Leni McNamara organized this event for their STEM senior capstone project. Their primary motivation for organizing this type of event was to give younger students a better understanding of what high school courses will be available to them as they enter high school.
