Thursday Crafternoon with Kate and Kelly

Thursday, October 12 from 4:00 - 4:45 PM

Join Kelly & Kate and create something fun. This week we will try to make some painted rock monsters for our Little Library at Action Cove. We'll also have some small pumpkins that you can decorate for the library or your house. We have lots of fun materials -  see what you can make for yourself.  Ages 6 and up.

It's almost time for the Friends Fall Book Sale. This is a major fundraiser for the Friends of the Library to fund the programs and activities you love at the Library.

Wednesday, October 18 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM will again be West Newbury Night for residents of West Newbury. Thursday & Friday 10:00 - 6:00 and Saturday 9:00 - 1:00. Saturday, fill a bag for $5.00!

Looking for volunteers to help with set up, working the sale or clean up. Great for Community Service!

Thursday October 5th from 4:00-5:00 pm.

Join us on the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 PM. We'll have fun showing off our Pokémon cards, talk Pokémon, and explore the world of Pokémon. No sign up. Please drop in. Ages 6-12


Fall Family Story Time with Miss Kate

Come join Miss Kate for a fun story time. Let's have fun listening to stories, singing songs, doing fingerplays and playing a game. You can pick up a craft kit and enjoy creating something at home.


Music Mondays with FCC

Mondays at 10:30 AM in the Children's Room

Join Miss Brianna from Family Community Connection every Monday morning and have fun with music.

This is a chance to increase language and literacy through rhymes, repetitive movement and routine.

Story Yoga

Wednesdays, 11:00-11:45 AM

Join our instructor, Jet Wiksten in the Children's Room for a story and a gentle introduction to yoga. Each week we'll have a different theme. We'll do breath work and mat work.

Please register for the class and bring your yoga mat. Meant for children aged newborn - six and their caregivers.

Storytime Crafts Thursdays

Join Miss Kailey from Family Community Connection for a fun Storytime. Listen to a story and make a craft. Social skills, communication, literacy and fine motor control.

Early Release Day Retro Gaming with One Up Games

Thursday, October 26 from 12:00 - 3:00 PM


Need something to do after the 1/2 day early release? Come to the library! (Old Town Hall, actually, 491 Main Street)

Join us for our retro video game free-play event, hosted by Sport and gaming venue, One Up Games!

Systems and games will be available for play via the Nintendo Switch online membership, which includes NES, SNES, N64 and Sega Genesis! Other titles and game systems will be included!

5th grade and up - drop off/pick up okay. 

Under 5th grade - need adult to remain on campus.

Parents/Guardians welcome to register and play too! After all, these are the games you grew up playing!

Greet the Day Yoga Series

Wednesdays at 9:00 AM at Old Town Hall

This weekly yoga series is perfect for beginners to the more experienced practitioner. We will focus on slow, mindful movement to create a sense of calm and stability in the body and mind.

Please bring a mat, beach towel and two yoga blocks. $5/per class paid directly to Sharon Gordon by cash or check. Drop-in, take one, some or all the classes.


Who Done It? Mystery Book Group

Town Wide Yard Sale - Supporting West Newbury Wild and Native

Saturday, October 14 from 9 - 1. Register to be a seller by October 2nd!

Fall is a great time to clean out your attic and closets; and for dividing your crowded plants. Instead of sending unwanted items to the landfill, your neighbors might be interested what you have PLUS you can REDUCE REUSE AND RECYCLE! West Newbury Wild and Native will coordinate advertising, marketing, and create a Town-wide map. Maps will be available at the library and other spots on Friday, October 13.
