October 20: Full Moon
October’s Full Moon is also known as the Hunter’s Moon.
October 21 and 22: Orionids Meteor Shower
The Orionids typically produce up to 20 meteors per hour at its peak. This year it will peak on the night of October 21 and the morning of October 22, however, due to the Full Moon this year on Oct. 20, only the brightest meteors will be visible.
October 29: Venus at Greatest Eastern Elongation
This is the best time to view Venus since it will be at its highest point above the horizon in the evening sky. Look for the bright planet in the western sky after sunset.
