We're hosting an off-site donation drive at Highlands Church parking lot, 215 Oak Hill Road, Paso Robles Saturday Nov. 4 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Every donation to Habitat SLO County builds affordable housing in our community, and your donations may be tax deductible.

An out-of-this world playhouse was designed and built by the Leadership South County Class 4.A collaboration with Habitat SLO County, the space-themed playhouse was donated to Exploration Discovery Center in Grover Beach.

According to Kathy McCorry, South County Chambers CEO, “The South County Chambers Leadership program is a once in a lifetime opportunity to fully immerse yourself in both Leadership and Community. The 10-month program teaches a person how to become a better leader. The legacy projects teach the importance of community and that to be a leader is to give back to help others in community. It is the giving aspect of the program that teaches us by example that a rising tide, floats ALL boats.”

Leadership South County participant Todd Huebler was inspired by the project. “It was a lot of fun to be with this great group of people doing something for others. It is cool to see how Habitat SLO makes it so easy for us to come in and build these play structures in such an efficient manner. I really appreciated the preparedness, the snacks, and the lunch! It was also rewarding to see everyone step into their skills and do the work that they enjoy while giving something back to the community.”

Site Construction is moving swiftly at Vine St. in Paso Robles. Spurr Co. has completed ground work including building pads and site wall installation, and underground utilities are currently being installed. Vertical construction will begin soon, and this project is on track to be completed by Fall 2024.

Our Partner Families have begun serving their sweat equity service hours, and are participating in regular meetings with Habitat SLO County staff. The homeowners are building meaningful relationships and are coming together as a supportive community.

A portion of all Bruce Munro Light at Sensorio ticket sales Sunday November 26 will be donated to us! Enjoy the immersive walk-through, outdoor art exhibit in Paso Robles and support local, affordable housing at no cost to you.

New in 2023, two exhibits, Fireflies and Gone Fishing, now compliment the familiar Field of Light and Light Towers, all designed by international artist Bruce Munro. The venue also offers live music, food, and beverage for purchase during event hours, 4:30 pm - 8:30pm.

Limited walk-up tickets will be available, so make your reservations early to secure your tickets for this special night.

While every donation to Habitat supports affordable housing across the globe,

only those given directly to Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County

are reinvested in our community.
