Fall Out
It feels like a lot and very little has happened this year, like an episode of the Twilight Zone. A lot happened. A lot didn't. But, from launching a new tourism website to job fairs, getting CARES money into the hands of those that needed it, and our very first Hopewell Bluegrass Jamboree, there's plenty we can be proud of. AND, the year isn't even over yet! Read on for news, updates, and things to come...

You voted to have an in-person meeting, so mark your calendar for a Holiday Happy Hour in Downtown Hopewell and let's spread a little cheer. It will do the community good to see Chamber Members and business leaders from around the region gathering for a good cause. This year, we want to encourage you to Shop Small and support local businesses. We'll meet up at Guncotton Coffee & Gallery where you can hang out indoors or outdoors. We'll have a dice game similar to a patio Poker Run to encourage you to visit Downtown Businesses. We're also supporting Fort Lee's Holiday Helpers Toy Drive and end encourage everyone to bring a donation. You can find the list of requested items here. If you are comfortable coming out, do so in support of those in need and to show our community some positivity and Holiday spirit. COViD Rules will apply. More details to come!

Tripp's Tips #4: Website vs. Webpage - Is there a difference?
YES! A webpage is a single page that can be viewed online. Whereas, a website are all the webpages combined. It's essential to understand the difference when it comes to your business. Search engines, such as Google and Bing, don't index websites, only webpages. When a search engine "indexes" a page, it analyzes the content and meaning on the pages before storing them. This helps to give users a super-fast response when they are searching the web. So how does this affect your business? If you are trying to optimize your website, it is then critical to optimize each page you want to rank higher on searches. The more each page uses key search words, the
better your business is to show up when being searched. Need help getting your website optimized? J. Carraway Media can help your business. Give us a call at 804-691-2199 or email tripp@carraway.media to find out more!
