The Pixel Project
October is Domestic Violence
Awareness Month. This year we are partnering with the Pixel Project
to paint the internet purple in an effort to raise funds and
awareness of all types of violence against
women.
On October
30th, we are having a Paint It Purple Party in the
studio! Bring the kids in Halloween costume for a FREE session and
FREE 5x7.
Wear purple and white to
show your support to stop violence against women. We will be
selling cupcakes to raise funds for the Houston Area Women's Center and
the Pixel Project. Additionally we are
organizing a drive for toiletries for women and children. So as
you do your shopping this month, throw in an extra toothbrush,
deodorant, diapers or any other item that can be used for women and
children at the shelter.

PopStar
Performers
Greta Jacobs Photography is now the official photographer of
the PopStar Performers. PopStar Performers is a
performance group, ages 5-14, that rehearse and perform at local
events, fairs and festivals throughout the year.
They rehearse at the Purple Box Theatre in Friendswood--how
apropos for this newsletter! If you are in the south Houston area,
your son or daughter would LOVE to be a part of this group.
Kimberly is a fabulous teacher and has endless energy! (I'm very
jealous about that part!!)
The kids will be performing Sunday October 10th at the Oak Tree Festival in League City, so come out
and see what they are up to! |
