Catching Up with Yvonne

By Yvonne Cavalli

 President of Bountiful Harvest

So far, we are having nice weather. It is a lovely time of the year. Please get outside and enjoy.

Holiday Donations

We are coming into the roughest season for a food pantry and a clothing pantry.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners, presents for the children, WOW. We have had a couple of businesses who are going to be hosting Food Drives for us. We

are blessed with these; however, we could use a few more. Needs for Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners are:

  • Green Beans
  • Whole Kernel Corn
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • French Fried Onions
  • Turkey Gravy
  • Can Condensed milk
  • Can Sweet Potatoes
  • Brown Sugar 1 lb bags

When you are out shopping and see these items (especially if they are on sale), throw a couple in your cart for a donation. Set up a Neighborhood Food Drive.

Remember EVERY donation helps.

Trunk of Treat

Trunk or Treat will be in the First Presbyterian Church October 26, from 5:30 until 7 pm. Truck or treat outside, then go into the hall of the church for a Halloween dinner. This is for the entire family, not just your children.

Your Support Helps So Many!

We are on track to do over 500,000 pounds of food distributed for 2023. I am working on September figures, but not quite done. However, August figures are in, and they are: 707 Families, 2,179 people, 38,044 pounds of food and 4,469 hot meals. This is quite a big jump from what we were doing last year.

We are coming up to the end of year, and you might be thinking about who you will support with your monetary donation. Please remember, we cannot do this without your support. Yes, we need food donations, but we also need to keep the doors open. We are 100% volunteer and 100% donation funded.

God Bless,

Yvonne
