Issue 53 | October 2023

Along about seven miles of Route 7, we're adding a third lane and shared-use paths in each direction, building a pedestrian underpass to access Colvin Run Mill Park, replacing and raising the bridge over Difficult Run, and making many intersection, bicycle and pedestrian improvements. Learn more.

In Case You Missed It

In late September, the Lewinsville Road intersection was transitioned to the permanent configuration, with drivers on Brook Road and Lewinsville Road proceeding to the traffic signal on the east side of McLean Bible Church to access Route 7 westbound via a new acceleration lane (see photo above). Pending the completion of additional finishing work along westbound Route 7 in this area, the acceleration lane will transition from a yield condition to a merge condition in the upcoming weeks.

Work Continues Along Route 7

Construction activities, including surface paving on Route 7 and adjacent streets, will be ongoing through the fall and early winter months.
