Fall holds a special place in my heart at Accessia Health as it marks my 10-year work anniversary with this incredible organization. Over the past decade, I've been privileged to serve individuals I consider real-life superheroes. They face challenges most can only imagine, yet their hope and resilience inspire us all.

Each year, we shift to meet healthcare needs created by an ever-changing landscape. It's the incredible individuals we serve that drive our unwavering commitment to our mission – providing a financial safety net and assistance to patients and families living with chronic medical conditions. If you haven’t already, I invite you to read our 2022 Impact Report to see how Accessia Health has worked to change the lives of those we serve.

As part of our commitment to continuous learning, we created our Amplify Your Voice, Control Your Care webinar series. Next month, we will cover the important topic of caregiving. Caregivers are vital to our communities, but the responsibility does not come without its challenges. We hope that you will join us to learn how to manage the practical and emotional aspects of caring for a loved one.

Lastly, we're thrilled to introduce our new team members and warmly welcome back returning staff who have been integral to our organization's mission. In addition, we welcome our Fall interns from Virginia Commonwealth University. For several years, Accessia Health has welcomed undergraduate seniors from several VCU departments to join our team to learn and assist in the promotion, coordination, and implementation of health initiatives. As a proud VCU alumni, I proudly welcome our future healthcare leaders.

• Medicare Open Enrollment is October 15 - December 7

• Marketplace Open Enrollment is November 1 - January 15

This is an important time for individuals to review all health insurance options and determine the best fit to meet healthcare needs. Take some time to write down what is important to you in a health plan, whether it is out of pocket costs, inclusion of specific providers or facilities, monthly premium costs, or medication formulary.
