The Trans Canada Trail recently released its economic impact study: The Benefits of Connecting Canadians, produced by ESI. This report details the economic, environmental, and public health impacts of the 28,000-kilometer trail network and includes profiles of prominent sections.

University of Minnesota Athletics Department
Economic Impact Study

The University of Minnesota commissioned ESI to study the economic and social impact the university has on the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Gopher Athletics spends millions of dollars each year on major capital investments to maintain and upgrade their facilities, and the Department's activities draw many visitors each year. We found that the total annual economic impact of the University's Athletics Department was $473.7 million.

The Risk of Self-Destructive Competition in the Chinese Photovoltaic Industry
China's three new products in foreign trade include electric passenger cars, solar cells, and lithium batteries. Even with a decline in exports for the country this year, these three products continue to maintain rare export growth. However, even with the given information, the industry is facing potential risks of industry-wide overcapacity, and even self destructive competition.

Hoboken Terminal: Optimizing Time to an Advantage

As part of a larger transit project, ESI recently evaluated travel times to job centers in New York City from all transit stops in Hudson County on bus, light rail, and PATH lines with direct access to Hoboken Terminal. The purpose of the analysis was to identify routes and stops that could be optimized to increase ridership at Hoboken Terminal and improve travel times for transit users.
