Medical Professional Education Oppurtunity
3rd International Symposium on Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome and Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome.
Info:
Friday, Nov. 4, and Saturday, Nov. 5

As part of the Cyclic Vomiting's Syndrome Association's (CVSA) mission to provide information and education to medical professionals, we are very excited to announce the 3rd International Symposium on Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome and Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome.

This symposium is designed specifically for medical professionals. There will be Continuing Medical Education, or CME, that will be provided to encourage participation in this opportunity.

We highly encourage everyone to share this event with any medical personnel. Help promote professionals to engage in learning more about cyclic vomiting syndrome. Suggestions of whom to share it with would be PCP's, any treating physicians, emergency medical professionals, nurses, and many more!

Please help spread the word, let us work together to share this very important event!

CME credit available.

* This Symposium is catered toward physicians,

Ongoing Medical Outreach
October 1st - 4th, CVSA exhibited at the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) conference.

In pursuit of CVSA's mission to spread information, education, and awareness we believed it to be very important to provide a presence to help perpetuate recognition and impact treatment of patients in the emergency room environment.

With the upcoming symposium being structured to provide more clarification on cyclic vomiting syndrome and cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, promoting this educational opportunity at this specific conference was imperative.

Advocates talked with hundreds of physicians a day, handed out ER protocols, pulled directly from the Adult Treatment Guidelines, and handouts with information on registration for the upcoming symposium.

Handed out at this event were copies of the adult treatment guidelines. Specifically, the articles focused around the treating of CVS, and cyclic vomiting syndrome vs cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome.
There is a lot of work still to be done in this field. Donations and contributions to CVSA directly support efforts like attending these events, providing critical educational opportunities like the symposium, and so much more.

Light Up Locally
Want to contribute to the next International CVS Awareness Day, March 5th?

Your help can make the 2023 Awareness day bigger than ever!

CVSA and it's volunteers are working on beating that number this year and we need your help!

Last year there were a number of places that lit up blue to help "Light up Awareness of CVS," including Niagara Falls!

There are couple of places that have to be requested by a local resident in order to light up with an awareness color.

Check out landmarks, arenas, buildings, and bridges that are local to you, request that they light up, and send any confirmations of lighting up to cvsa@cvsaonline.org. Let's Light Up Awareness of CVS!
