Please Provide Your Feedback! Patron Survey Open October 23-November 3
Republic School District invites parents and guardians of our students to complete the short survey found at the link below. Your feedback allows us to see at what level we are meeting the needs of our students, families and community at large. Preparing each student for a successful future is our mission, and the information gathered through this survey provides us a measure to see how well we are achieving this goal.

The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is open October 23-November 3. Thank you in advance!

RepMO Hero of the Month: Ray Jennings
This year we started an employee recognition program called RepMO Hero! Throughout the school year we will take turns recognizing outstanding certified and classified employees. District employees submit nominations and then a nominee from each department group and building are submitted to a district selection committee who chooses one individual to be the RepMO Hero of the Month! That individual is recognized and receives $500 for his/her department or building to spend on  resources of his/her choosing.

For September the following RepMO Hero nominees were celebrated! These individuals go above and beyond the call of duty to help us reach our mission of "preparing each student for a successful future." Thanks to each of them for their service!

Trevyor Fisher Named Activities & Athletic Director
The Republic School District Board of Education is excited to announce Trevyor Fisher as the new Activities and Athletics Director beginning July 1, 2018. Mr. Fisher currently serves as a PE teacher at Republic High School and the varsity boys' basketball coach, a role he will continue through the current school year and season. His prior experience has provided him with a variety of skills that will serve the students who participate in extra-curricular activities well.

Mr. Fisher began his coaching career over 13 years ago at Missouri State University where he served as the Director of Basketball Operations. This position required Mr. Fisher to develop and utilize logistical and organizational skills along with the implementation of public relation efforts, fundraising campaigns and community involvement.

He then joined the Republic School District team in 2012 in the roles that were mentioned above. As the boys' varsity basketball coach at RHS he led the team in back to back Class 4 State Championships in 2013 and 2014. Also in those years, Mr. Fisher was named Class 4 MBCA Coach of the Year and District 11 Coach of the Year. In 2013 he was named Class 4 Missouri Sportswriters Coach of the Year, and his 2012 and 2016 teams also won Blue and Gold Tournament Championships.

Mr. Fisher indicated that he looks forward to "collaborating with students, teachers and coaches to grow the success and integrity of extra-curricular programs through building a culture of grit, determination and hard work." Please join us in congratulating Mr. Fisher on his new role that will begin next school year.

This months' building spotlight was the Republic Early Childhood Center. They created a video to showcase how they utilize Conscious Discipline, evidence-based and research-backed social and emotional learning. These routines, rituals and structures help our earliest learners develop the behaviors and skills they need to be successful when they reach kindergarten!

During the student recognition portion of the meeting McCulloch Elementary students and teachers were recognized for their leadership in planning and implementing "Community Time" in their building. For the first 15 minutes of each school day the entire McCulloch Elementary population comes together for celebrations, announcements and Leader in Me learning. This strategy creates a sense of school community and builds leadership capacity in students. These kiddos did a great job sharing their experience.
