In addition, the Board of Education provided an update. During this time period Tammy Messier and John Parker were recognized for completing
their Certified Board Member Certification. In addition, the Board reflected on their time at the MSBA conference earlier this month and commended the district for presenting in four presentation to educators and board members across the state of Missouri.

This months' building spotlight was the Republic Early Childhood Center. They created a video to showcase how they utilize Conscious Discipline, evidence-based and research-backed social and emotional learning. These routines, rituals and structures help our earliest learners develop the behaviors and skills they need to be successful when they reach kindergarten!
During the student recognition portion of the meeting McCulloch Elementary students and teachers were recognized for their leadership in planning and implementing "Community Time" in their building. For the first 15 minutes of each school day the entire McCulloch Elementary population comes together for celebrations, announcements and Leader in Me learning. This strategy creates a sense of school community and builds leadership capacity in students. These kiddos did a great job sharing their experience.
Our first RepMO Hero of the Month, Ray Jennings was honored by the Board of Education. Mr. Jennings is the Lead Custodian at RMS.
He takes great pride in serving the students and staff team at Republic Middle School and always does so with such passion and dedication.
Executive Director of Operations, Jason Perkins provided a recap to the Board regarding the lockout at RHS and the gas line breech that impacted elementary buildings on October 6.
Mr. Chance Wistrom, Superintendent of Schools presented his monthly report to the Board. This included a legislative update, financial summary and enrollment details.
