FALL FESTIVAL - SATURDAY!
The Dayspring Fall Festival is back! Join our Children's and Youth Ministries on October 23 from 4-7pm. There will be games, crafts, bouncy castles, obstacle course, climbing wall and much more. All are invited to join us for this event; proceeds support the Dayspring Youth Ministry's Sierra Service Project trip.

NOTE: Most of this event will be held outside on our patio and parking lot. Masks are strongly encouraged for everyone in attendance and are required for any indoor/contained activities like the haunted house and bounce house.

  • dry milk
  • "helpers"

Your donations support the Tempe Community Action Agency and help feed our neighbors in need right here in South Tempe!
ANNUAL CHARGE CONFERENCE
Our annual Charge Conference is scheduled for this Thursday, October 28 at 6:30pm via zoom. Led by our District Superintendent, the conference is held every year for the purpose of conducting the business of the church as required by the 2016 Book of Discipline and provides those in attendance with an overview of the past year in the life of the church. Everyone is encouraged to attend and speak, but this is a charge conference, which means only members of the Covenant Council may vote. CLICK HERE for the Zoom link.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE
A Celebration of the Lives of George W. “Bill” and Betty Pettit will be held Saturday, October 30 at 11:00am in our Sanctuary. A reception will immediately follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
ALL SAINTS SUNDAY
All Saints' Sunday is November 7. We publicly remember and honor those who have died in the previous year and the impact their lives have had on us. If you would like to light a candle in memory of a loved one, please let us know their name on or before Monday, November 1 by calling the church office at (480) 838-1446 or emailing Andrea.
GRIEF SUPPORT
Everyone experiences grief differently, but having skills to process life after loss can make life bearable and, hopefully, life giving. On Mondays, at 6:30pm, Dayspring is hosting a Zoom grief support group. This class introduces skills that persons may find helpful in their journey of healing. If you, or someone you know needs support in grieving a major loss in your life, such as a death or broken relationship, or job loss, this is a safe place to process in community. Please register by emailing Pastor Joel. Psychologist and Dayspring member, Dr. Sharon Zygowicz facilitates the sessions.
STEPHEN MINISTRY
Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support to people who are facing a crisis or going through tough times. The care you’ll receive is confidential, free, and very helpful. Email Stephen Ministers for more information or learn more HERE.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY CLOTHING DRIVE
As part of our ongoing Project Hope Mission project, we are proud to have built three wells in Liberia with the help of Prince Mayson and the Mayson family. We are partnering again for a Children’s Shoes and Clothing Drive to deliver to children in the communities in and around where our previous wells have been built. Please bring gently used clothes and shoes, as well as new toothbrushes and toothpastes to the donation bins in the Narthex by October 31. Please email Emily with questions.
REFUGEE FOCUS
Our Refugee Focus team is collecting diapers, baby formula, cases of water bottles, and strollers for 30 Afghan refugee families currently in transitional housing through Matthew House. Please bring donations to the church office labeled "Refugee Focus".

There is also a volunteer opportunity to serve meals to these families - breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you would like to volunteer or have questions, please email Paola.
ASYLUM SEEKERS MINISTRY
Our ministry with asylum seekers is still in need of donations. The International Rescue Committee continues to receive from 100 to 200 people per day. This has resulted in constantly depleted stocks of clothing, shoes and other items. We especially need smaller adult size casual pants/jeans, jackets, and tennis/athletic shoes, sturdy work boots, and flip-flops, as well as disposable razors, travel-size shaving cream and nail clippers. Please email Pastor Jim O’Neal to arrange for items to be picked up. Learn more
