New Website Announcement

Our redesigned website launched on September 18th, 2023! As full propagation throughout the vast internet happens, and as our staff uncover and fix issues, you may encounter 404 page not found.

If you encounter “404 page not found” it may be that your Google search, or other way of searching/finding our volleyballalberta.ca webpages, is loading the old site rather than the new website page. Please go directly to https://www.volleyballalberta.ca/ and click your way to what you are looking for from our menu tabs and hot button icons.

Club Administrator, please review any links you may have on your website that link to ours as they may need to be updated.

If you continue to have issues with broken links and 404 page not found errors on our website, please email the Volleyball Alberta office. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during this transition!

PERSON IN AUTHORITY (PIA) REQUIREMENTS

Club season is right around the corner and it’s time for referees and club leaders to complete their PIA requirements. All referees, coaches, managers, trainers, club administrators/board members, registrars, team contacts, volunteers, or any Leader within a club must complete the mandatory requirements prior to working with a club or athletes. A PIA may not participate in volleyball activities until they have completed a Criminal Records Checks (CRC), Safe Sport Training (SST), and annual Screening Disclosure Form (SDF).

Completing these prerequisites is a small but critical step in creating a safe and welcoming sport environment. Volleyball Alberta recognizes a systemic culture shift is required to eliminate maltreatment in sport, and that everyone’s contribution and commitment is required to reach this goal.

Visit our Person in Authority Page for details on completing these three simple steps.
