Tech Leader of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding achievement over the last year on the part of an individual or company that principally provides technology products, services, or support in the Columbia River Gorge. 

STEM Education Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual for outstanding contributions to STEM (science, tech, engineering, and math) education in the Columbia River Gorge over the last year. $1000 prize.

Congrats to GTA Member SIGMADESIGN who recently announced its recent certification of ISO 27001/IEC 27001:2013!

This certification is an internationally recognized standard for information security management systems and underscores SIGMADESIGN's solid commitment to data security, information system management, and client satisfaction. Read more here.

GTA Member Google recently announced the recipients of their annual community grants!

• The Dalles Civic Auditorium: the award will fund new permanent sound and lighting systems and new balcony seating.
• The Columbia Gorge STEM Hub: the award covers kits for the hub’s K-5 STEM after-school program for students in Wasco County.  
• The Oregon State University Extension STEM program: Wasco County 4-H will be able to expand their existing mobile computer lab with the purchase of new tools, and will also support a tech camp that specializes in mental health support for students and LGBTQ+ youth.

The Gorge's UAS Companies have been recognized as an industry cluster in both Oregon and Washington! MCEDD is currently working with funding from Washington Dept. of Commerce to promote and drive the cluster's development through May 2024. To learn more about this project, visit the webpage here.
