City Launches Lodging Safety Initiative


The City of Branson has launched a new ‘Lodging Safety Initiative’ designed to ensure all lodging establishments operating within city limits are complying with required public health and safety standards.  Through the implementation of the Lodging Safety Initiative, the City of Branson is emphasizing a focused commitment to ensure consistency and accountability in the protection of public health and safety for visiting guests and other occupants of lodging establishments located within city limits.

Branson Municipal Court Judge Appointed to State Automation Committee


Taney County 46 Judicial Circuit Court Municipal Judge, Thomas Motley, has been appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court to the Missouri Court Automation (MCA) Committee, a committee that oversees the state’s court technology systems.

Water Tower Cleaning Underway!



The City of Branson’s Utilities Department has started the process to renovate and clean the Wal-Mart water tower, located at 2028 W. 76 Country Blvd.


This will include updating the logo!

National Night Out Oct. 3


The Branson Police Department is preparing for its annual National Night Out, an annual community-building event designed to promote police-community partnerships to make neighborhoods safer, that will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. There are several neighborhood events scheduled throughout Branson that include the following neighborhoods:

·        Westwood Ave & Bramble Ln

·        Caudill Way

·        Country Bluff Estates

·        Lucia Ridge Neighborhood

·        Pointe Royale

·        Branson Park Apartments

·        Eiserman Street

·        Redwine Circle

·        Galewood Street

New Police Car Design!


Branson Police vehicles are getting a makeover!


A team of BPD employees worked with a graphics designer to come up with this updated and modern look. More reflective decals were added to the sides and rear of the cars to help with visibility to avoid collisions.


This design will be used for all new marked patrol vehicles that are added to the fleet. The old design will stay on the remainder of the cars until they are retired from service.


Sgt. Muckenthaler & Officer Gamble receive Missouri Medal of Valor

Sgt. Tanner Muckentahler and Officer Brendan Gamble received the Missouri Medal of Valor for their "heroic acts beyond the call of duty." They were recognized for their life-saving efforts during a crash and car fire that occurred in 2022. Branson community members Shane Childress and Joseph Sapp also received awards for exceptional acts in assisting Branson first responders in 2022. The honorees received their award from Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe at the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Jefferson City.
