Hello Team Parents and Happy Fall!
As the holiday season approaches, we're reminded of how Community plays a pivotal role at Intown Stars. Having a supportive and nurturing community around you is critical for gymnasts. It is a highly difficult, often all-encompassing sport that requires a lot from young athletes. Community makes it worth it to keep coming back to the place you know you're supported to do really hard things. But being a part of a close community is also pretty great for celebrations and parties, like when it's holiday time!
Our gymnastics community provides a safety net for both successes and setbacks. Celebrating victories together and offering consolation during losses as a community creates resilience, empathy, and confidence in the individuals within that community. And we're pretty proud of our amazing athletes and so grateful we are all a part of the same community.

Ah'lai is an athlete that not only works hard in the gym, but has been truly setting the tone & expectation on our team of what it means to be a team player in for ISG Community. Wonderfully leading by example in workouts, she is an integral part of the glue that makes InTown gymnastics both special & excellent. Aubry is not only a dedicated and hard working gymnast who is always ready to lend a hand or word of encouragement to her teammates, but she is also an amazing artist who has a talent for creating unique, beautiful custom designed leotards. | |
Coach Lexi joined our Team Program as a Developmental Team coach. Her energy and commitment to details made her a great candidate for a Team coach. Also, please drop ideas in your Group Me for team bonding ideas. For your ideas to be considered, kindly do this by Friday, October 13th.
Men's Team Update!
The Optionals Men's Team and Coach Tyler traveled to Knoxville last weekend for the Region 8 Optionals Clinic at GymTek. They worked really hard and were exhausted after two days of practice with some of the best Level 9 and 10 male gymnasts in the country. They even worked with Sergei Pakanich, who is the coach for Olympian Asher Hong!

that fall under the umbrella of Pre-Team. Mighty Mites, Team Prep, Team Stars, and Shooting Stars are all of our wonderful Pre-Team groups.

Team Bonding
Please think of ideas for team boding and drop them in the Group Me. For ideas to be considered, kindly have this done by Friday, October 13th.
Testing
Strength and flexibility testing results have been sent out. If you did not recive them, please follow up with Coach Mykal.
Team Fees
New this year to the pre-team program is team fees. The team feems will cover the cost of the end of year In House meet and the leotard that comes with the event. The fees will also cover a special Pre-Team Celebration at the end of the sesson, and special Intown SWAG items! By setting and collecting fees upfront, it will alleviate the need to add charges throughout the year.
Communication
To all new families in Mighty Mites, Team Prep, or Rising and Shooting Stars, please email preteam@intownstarsatl.com to be added in the GroupMe. This is a great way to communicate with Coach Mykal and other families on the same team for quick questions, car pooling, and other information!

In-House Physical Therapy & Nutrition Services at Intown
Dr. Kelsey Parramore, PT, DPT has been serving our Intown Stars gymnasts for the last three years and is moving with us into the new space! She is an experienced former college gymnast and coach and uses her knowledge and love of the sport to help keep our gymnasts and their parents healthy and strong.
