New technology in the Pharmacy:
The next two months are going to be busy for us at Center Drug.
We will be updating our phone system and the IVR that answers the phone calls. Options on the IVR may change from what they are currently, so please listen carefully as the IVR will tell you that options have changed.
We will also be updating our Pharmacy software and Register software. Instead of two separate systems, these will now be under one software which will make updating information much easier than it has been in the past. Yes, we will finally have chip reading credit card machines! The date for the new phones is still yet to be determined, but the new pharmacy and register systems will go live on November 3rd.
The new system will also allow us to do auto refills, and we will be able to text you when your prescriptions are ready--these are just a few of the new options that many of you have been asking for.
Please be patient with us during the first few weeks of November while we all adjust to the new system. We are all receiving training in advance, but as you know there can sometimes be glitches that need to be addressed once we go live. All information from our previous pharmacy system will be integrated into the new system.
There will also be a new App for our pharmacy once the change is made. We will have more information on that in upcoming newsletters. We think you will find the new app much more user friendly and easy to use.
