Leadership Council Highlights
Laura Hamby, Moderator

We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.
     Romans 12:6-8 (NRSV)

On our recent Leadership Council call I was reminded that WE have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us.
  • NAPF/HOPE announced their 2018 theme, Be-Do-Love.
  • Growth MC has two new MC Interns on their council.
  • Vitality MC is working with the Nominating Committee to fill a position on their council.
  • We approved two people to serve on the Church Membership task team.
  • The Center for Congregational Leadership task team has requested up to six months for their work of envisioning/re-imagining the Center.
  • Missions and Outreach MC reported that over $45,000 was donated to support disaster relief efforts.
  • The Board of Governors confirmed that the post Annual Meeting appeal exceeded the goal of $25,000 by raising $33,780.
We are currently seeking volunteers to serve on task teams that will focus on writing a vision statement, establishing the ambassador program, and doubling church attendance at the Annual Meeting and Conference. If you or someone you know has gifts in these areas, email me at: laurajhamby@gmail.com .

God has truly blessed the NACCC with people whose gifts are in ministry, teaching, generosity, diligence, and cheerfulness. On behalf of our churches, I thank each of you and God for the gifts you so generously share. I look forward to this year, as we work together to reveal God's plans for the NACCC.

Board of Governors Highlights
Bob Smith, Chair of Development & Communications Committee (BoG)

The Board of Governors has recently reestablished its Development and Communication Committee (D&C Committee).  This committee is responsible for "annual and long-range fund development and communication efforts pertaining to all donors, church membership, planned giving and capital campaigns."  The reason for this action is to provide functional accountability and oversight to fund and endowment solicitation efforts, to provide proper communication to the donor base and the overall membership and to ensure that NACCC leadership have the proper tools to most effectively manage and grow NACCC revenue streams to ensure long-term financial stability.

The D&C Committee has specific responsibilities in each of these areas, will monitor progress, and report on that progress to the Board of Governors, Board of Directors and Leadership Council.
