Greetings!
Hello and Happy October!!
I think it's safe to say that all of us working in the travel industry have something in common. We LOVE to travel. Am I right or am I right? I mean come on, why else would we be working in this crazy business???
One of the great things about our jobs is that we often get the opportunity to travel to far away and exotic places. Places like the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall of China, Manchu Picchu, the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Colosseum in Rome, and the Great Pinto McBean.
What?? You've never heard of Pinto McBean in Bow Island, Alberta? Oh, you really must go!!!
Last week I was participating in the Air Canada Vacations' Caribbean Comes to Alberta road-show and on our way from Medicine Hat to Lethbridge we couldn't pass-up the opportunity, and had to pull over for this once-in-a-lifetime photo-op. Pictured with me in front of the famed Pinto McBean are Alison from Saint Lucia and Roberto from Sirenis Hotels.
Yep, I'm living the dream!!! As my friend Lenora said, I can now cross that one off my bucket list. :)
By the way, I want to say a big thank you to Jodine Clement from Air Canada Vacations in Calgary. She put a lot of time and effort into planning the road-show and she did a fabulous job. Thank you Jodine!!!
In a couple of weeks I'll be heading out on the road again for the Westjet Vacations Mexico Expo (details below). Maybe I will see you at one of the shows in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton or Winnipeg? It should be fun so hopefully you can try to make it to one in the city near you.

I wanted to give you an update. In the last newsletter I encouraged you to vote for my funny/embarassing story with the National Car Rental Tales from the Road contest. Well, I am happy to let you know that your votes paid off because I wo Round 2 f the contest. YAY!!!
What exactly did I win? Well, I received 100,000 airline miles, 3 days free car rental and National Executive status for one year. Also I will be eligible for the grand prize awarded in November. Fingers crossed. But don't worry, there's no more voting so I won't be asking again. PHEW!
