APPNA is profoundly sad to announce the very tragic demise of Nabeel Aslam, son of Dr Azhar Aslam, Dow 89-1 and Dr Uzma Shireen Aslam (FJ Medical College) in a fatal car accident early Sunday morning, 21 July 2024 in Lexington Kentucky.

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Nabeel was an exceptional young man who was an MBA candidate at the Crummer Graduate School of Business pursing a major in finance. He was an Alonzo Collin’s scholarship recipient during his undergraduate study at the Rollins College where he graduated in international business in May 2024. Nabeel was associated with the Chi Psi Fraternity in various leadership roles where he left an indelible mark in community service.

Nabeel was a loving son and a cherished friend who always went an extra mile to help others. He possessed outstanding leadership and social skills which made him an integral part of his cohort of friends.

The APPNA family is devastated at this tragic and untimely passing away of such a promising young man who had a bright future ahead of him. We pray to Allah SWT to bless Nabeel with the highest station in Jannah and grant his parents, Drs Azhar and Uzma Shireen Aslam immense strength to bear this tragic loss.

Janaza Prayers and Burial for Nabeel Aslam, son of our fellow Dow colleague, Dr. Azhar Aslam and Dr Uzma Shireen Aslam will be on Monday, 7/22/2024, at 5:00 pm at Bluegrass Memorial Garden Cemetery; 4915 Harrodsburg Road, Nicholasville, KY 40356.

Condolence Visitation will be on Tuesday 23rd July at Masjid Bilal, 1541 Russell Cave Road, Lexington, KY 40505, between Asr and Maghrib prayers.
