Thank you Johnnie Burrell for this LHT shot of Marc Paquette at the 2010 Anniversary and your tribute on Facebook for his tireless work with Stanley Williams and Quentin Easter, founders of the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre. He too has joined the ancestors but the legacy of his work including "Soulful Christmas" will continue.

Nothing to Laugh About...
All the best to Sinbad.... He's given us so many laughs over the years, but its time for us to lift up a prayer for him as he recently underwent a 10 hour back fusion surgery. Here's a moment at Mac World at the Moscone...Go ahead laugh. "Laughter is medicine for the soul."

Jacquie Taliaferro of LaHitz Media has a "Mad Moment" with Sinbad at MacWorld back in the day with all smiles. |
Speaking of Health.... San Francisco National Coalition of 100 Black Women has you covered. The chapter is not only helping people enroll for Covered CA, it is also using the project for Workforce Development. SF NCBW joined forces with I.T. Bookman Community Center to train a Senior to assist with the enrollment project and learn general administrative skills with a $5,000 grant from Supervisor John Avalos' OMI Community Action Grant via the OMI Community Collaborative. Once again, Dr. Maxine Hickman, maximizing opportunities for the betterment of community.
