WELCOMING NEW NEIGHBORS
The flow of immigrants to Massachusetts continues to strain the state Emergency Shelter system. The Old South New Neighbors Task Force is organizing to help. There are two ways to support this effort.
We will be collecting blankets (new or gently used but clean, twin or double) for overnight use, and midsize roller suitcases in good condition to move personal items back and forth. A drop-off box will be available in the Narthex on Sundays and in the coat room next to the Gordon Chapel entry on weekdays. Donations can also be purchased on a Target Wishlist and delivered directly to the welcome center. If you can help or have questions, please contact Margaret Sablove.
Due to the changing nature of the migrant housing situation, Old South will not be hosting families for day programming in July, but we are working to find ways to connect to resources to support and welcome our new neighbors in the weeks and months ahead. If you would like to join us, contact Carol Boggs.

GREEN TIP: Shop Local for Produce
Next time you’re headed out for groceries, take a few minutes to make an extra stop at a farmer’s market for fruits and veggies. Buying local reduces your footprint and helps support farmers in your community. Local fruits and vegetables are also packed with way more nutrients than produce with a passport, and they’re tasty too!
