Welcome to our next release of

a quarterly newsletter to keep you informed and included.

Our fundraising continues to make great strides as we keep working toward reaching our next major financial goal of $600,000 to open J’s House. To date, we've raised $350,000 towards this goal - thank you to everyone that has helped us get this far!

Check out some of our highlights from last year in the J’s House 2023 Annual Report.

In case you haven’t heard, we chose the name “J’s House” to recognize those who inspired this journey. Many of the boys who spurred our hearts into action had names that began with “J”. However we also chose “J” to serve as a reminder for whom our foundation is built on - JESUS. So this Easter, we want to celebrate His resurrection with a fundraiser that supports what He has called us to do.

Surprise a friend or delight your loved ones with ordering treat-filled eggs to be delivered to their home. You can check out the Easter Bunny's helpful hints by clicking the EGG MY YARD button below. Be sure to order by March 20th!

It’s been a busy first quarter and that’s exactly how we like it! We love talking with people about what we do. Please reach out if you know someone that would like to learn more or hear our story.

Christ the King Lutheran Church in Kingwood invited us to speak at their Men’s Breakfast event. It was wonderful to discuss various ways we could serve the boys of J’s House together.

We are truly blessed to have local churches and organizations on this journey with us. Thank you Christ the King, Boys & Girls Country, Woodridge Baptist Church, Hope Legacy Collective, and many more, for inviting us to share our story.

Some of our J's House team hosted a Super Bowl themed Valentine's Party for our friends at Kinship Konnection last month.

It was a fun afternoon of painting, card making, cookie decorating and racing. Yes, racing! These boys are fast and they enjoy a little competition to see who is the fastest.

Thank you to the Kinship Konnection staff for generously sharing their time and children with us.

An important part of what we do is connecting with other organizations to strengthen our relationships and learn from one another. We’re thankful to be a part of the Region 6 RTC Collaborative.

Thanks to everyone that showed their support at the J’s House Chick-fil-A Spirit Night. It was great catching up with many of you. We had an awesome time!

If you were not able to join us, but would still like to donate, you can click the DONATE button below.

It takes a family bigger than the Brady Bunch to launch a new nonprofit! We have several opportunities for you to join our family. If you, or someone you know, would like to help in one of these areas, we’d love to talk with you.

We’re also continuing to look for passionate individuals who have expertise in local business, government, or lived foster care experience to join our board. Email me at marla@jshouse.org for more details.

Our passionate Board of Directors gives their time and talents to make the J’s House vision a reality. We recently spent an evening together to enjoy some good food and fellowship with one another. What we do is not easy, but WHY we do it and WHO we do it with makes all the difference in the world.

God, thank you for going before us, for following us, and laying Your hand of blessing on our heads. We pray for opportunities that take us out of our comfort zone so we may grow in new ways that benefit those we serve and bring You glory.

We’re grateful to have you On the Journey With J’s House!

Until next time, Godspeed.
