Dear Our Lady Queen of Angels School Community,
I am very thankful and appreciative to serve as the principal at OLQA. We have begun to analyze and plan any adjustments, changes, improvements for next school year. A highly effective school must commit to continuous improvement and growth. We will implement innovative instructional strategies, state of the art instructional materials, and initiatives that provide professional development opportunities to enhance the educational experiences of our school community. Every decision we make needs to be centered on improving the learning and growth of each and every student at OLQA.
We are all preparing for the end-of-year activities. We will be celebrating with our 8th grade students as they end their education here at OLQA and as they embark on the next stage of their life-long learning journey. We look forward to welcoming our school community to many of these special events and celebrations.
Blessings,
Dr. Ramon S. Morales

ROOM PARENTS 2024/2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Room parents are an integral part of our OLQA community. Please consider volunteering for the coming 2024/25 school year. As a room parent, your primary responsibility would be to assist your child’s teacher by acting as a liaison for your classroom families. You'll keep everyone in the know via weekly email communications, which are provided to you by the PTO Room Parents chair, plan a back-to-school informational coffee, and assist your teacher as required, which can vary by grade and teacher.
If you are interested in serving as a Room Parent for the 2024/2025 school year CLICK HERE! to submit your application before Friday, May 17. The school administration will select two parents per grade, one for each grade level A and B classrooms, with the exception of TK.

MONTH OF MAY HONORING MARY
For centuries, the Catholic Church has set aside the entire month of May to honor Mary, Mother of God. OLQA will honor her at our School Mass on Thursday, May 16 at 8:30 a.m. with the May Crowning Mass — please join! There are many ways we can honor Mary this month with our families:
- Pray the Rosary.
- Say the Hail Mary Prayer throughout the day.
- Create a Prayer Corner, placing some representation of our Blessed Mother whether that be a photo, small statue, or Rosary beads.
- Create an outdoor space, flowers to honor of Mary.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR MUSICAL
OLQA Parish Children’s Choir will present Detention! The Musical on May 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. in our Athletics and Activities Center. Support our talented parish students and reserve your ticket HERE!
Written by our amazing parish creative team of Barbara Brennan and Michael Upward, the musical story takes place at Mt. Calliope Christian Academy where a jock, a nerd, a loner and a fashion diva (with her entourage of beauty assistants) are all sent to after-school detention. They are joined by a mysterious new student who, in the course of the afternoon, asks them special questions about their behavior. By the end, the students have learned about true generosity and charity. Friendship and Faith are taught as they encourage another to use their God-given talents to glorify God.
