Principal's Letter

Good afternoon,

Today for our newsletter, I wanted to share with you the reflection I did for our All School Word and Communion service led by our 4th graders, and presided over by Ms. Helen. Today’s Gospel focused on Jesus being the Bread of Life, and what the Eucharist is all about. I invite you to read the Gospel, shared here as well, and the reflection I gave to your children and our community. Click on the “read more” button below.

Events coming up for you to be aware of:

  • Musical is next week on Thursday with a show for the students during the day, and for the families and community at 7pm. We hope you will join to celebrate and be entertained by our talented 8th graders.
  • Musical Snack Shack happening now, and NED yo-yo sales are next week as well. There are opportunities for your children to partake in a raffle for a free dress pass, OR simply purchase a free dress pass to wear on musical day. You can purchase these at the Snack Shack table.
  • Day of Service is a week from Saturday, April 27th!
  • Loop the ‘Lupe needs your help! Volunteer hours are now extended to June 8th! This is a great opportunity to be of service and participate in our wonderful community.

As a community, we continue to pray for Fr. Kevin. See the image below of us praying from him this morning.

Partners in the Gospel

Newly-Appointed Pastors and Parochial Vicars Gather

When Archbishop Etienne announced the appointment of the new Pastors and Parochial Vicars, he wrote, “Be assured that they will receive all the necessary support and assistance from the Archdiocese to ensure quality pastoral care for your parish family.” This past week, they began to receive that assistance and support as they gathered for a retreat of prayer, fellowship and formation, including providing an opportunity to learn from the experiences of their brother priests (locally and in other dioceses), and some concrete guidance around the type of work that will be coming for the first 12 months of Partners in the Gospel.  This will enable them to serve their new Parish Families with competence, integrity, and humility.

Please continue to keep Fr. Phuong Hoang and Fr. Tim Clark in your prayers as they prepare to lead us.
