Storm Golf recap 4-25-2024 Varsity Gold team boys won the Bluejay Bash Invitational with a score of 295, Our Varsity Blue team finished 5th (307). Emerson Majma took home the Individual Championship by making an Eagle putt on the 2nd playoff hole. Our players will travel to Dallas/Ft Worth area to the Waterchase Golf Course April 30th/May 1st for the HomeSchool National Tournament. Good luck to all the players attending.

Storm Track & Field 2024
Congratulations to our athletes for a successful 2024 season! Homeschool Track & Field Nationals Medal Count: 12 gold, 12 silver, 9 bronze, 9 ribbons for fourth place, 11 ribbons for fifth place, and 6 ribbons for sixth! Great work!

Monday's: 9:00-9:50 (high school) and 10:00-10:50 (middle school)
Friday's: 9:00-9:50 (high school/middle school combined) 10:00-10:50 (elementary)
This structure may change depending on the interest of each group.
COST
Elementary: $100per kid (eleven per week)
Middle/High School: $225 (twice per week)

Storm Swimming competed in its first meet, Tuesday, December 5th in Duncan, OK. Storm's middle school team, Landon Hamilton, Declan Seale, and Berek Thrash showed up fearless and on fire! Declan Seale dominated the field in both the 100 I.M. and 50 breaststroke with two first place finishes. Berek Thrash had an impressive 2nd place finish in the 50 breaststroke, and a top 5 finish in the 50 freestyle, in his very first swim meet. Landon Hamilton showed grit and determination in the 50 freestyle in his debut meet. Duncan graciously provided an extra swimmer, and all three boys showed incredible teamwork in the 200 free and 200 medley relays. Our first swim meet was a total success! We're excited to compete on December 12th at the Middle School Championship meet in Edmond! We would love to have your kid swim with us. We have a variety of skill levels, and we want to provide kids with a supportive environment and meet them where they are. We are anticipating a great season.

The team aims to build on a successful 2023 season which all Storm athletes either won, medaled, or set personal best times in every race. Our greatest achievement, however, is exceptional team camaraderie and the joy of working out together using God-given talents that glorify him!

Zyah Thrash won the 2A Jr. High School All-Star meet out of 183 runners, followed by Sydney Kevil in 14th and Paisley Kevil in 16th. Malachi placed 8th at the All-Star meet out of 192 runners, and Cayden Wise just missed medaling, placing 33rd.
At the Homeschool State Meet 2 days later, Storm won the middle school girls team title. Zyah Thrash was the middle school champion with all other 7 Storm girls placing in the top 16 (Sydney Kevil 4th, Paisley Kevil 5th, Maggie Baker 6th, Grace Bangert 6th, Lily Bowles 10th, Holly Tiefel 13th and River Korthanke, 16th). Malachi finished 2nd in a close middle school boys race, followed by Cayden Wise in 5th. Tylie Thrash placed 5th in the high school girls race, followed by Abby Young in 9th and Nora Schueler in 10th. Nash Walker was the top Storm finisher in the high school boys race in 14th.

Cross country is a tough and demanding sport, requiring not only endurance but heat tolerance. Accordingly, pre-season training is a must to prepare the athlete for both and to minimize overuse injuries. All athletes should be running on their own by June 1st 2024. STORM BMX
Storm has put together a BMX training class just for homeschool kid. Jamie & Luke Harwick will be directing a trial session this semester with the help of YBMX. We are asking for anyone that is riding BMX to contact us to get started on this awesome opportunity we have.
There will be a day practice session once a week at Yukon BMX (YBMX) and in due time, we hope to be able to bring Sand Spring BMX (SSBMX) on board with us. There will also be a monthly “Clinic”, which is a focused training session with a USA BMX Coach. We are hoping to involve the Wednesday Clinics at Sand Springs.
