Students: Yearbook distribution will take place on Thursday, May 23 through Wednesday, May 29 from 12:10-12:55 p.m. in The Callero Family Foundation Plaza (DMS Quad) drop-off area. Students will need a photo ID with their name on it (OCSA school ID, driver's license, or Aeries can be pulled up on their phone) to receive their yearbook. Please keep in mind that 1,500 yearbooks must be distributed and while there will be ample help, lines may be long. We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation in advance.

If you are unsure if you ordered a yearbook, please check your MySchoolBucks order history. Seniors: If you purchased a senior package, a yearbook was part of that bundle. If you need to purchase a yearbook, a limited number are still available at MySchoolBucks. Do not delay, they will sell out!

Don’t miss the inaugural Night Market TODAY, Friday, May 10, in the Container Lot from 2:30-5 p.m. Indulge in the incredible culinary work of The Mekjian Family Culinary Arts & Hospitality Conservatory at this first-ever food fest, featuring the OCSA band Catty Wompus! Food items and beverages will range from $2-8, so stay for a while and treat yourself to some good eats!

OCSAFEST is back with TWO days of creative fun! Presented by the Arts & Enterprise Conservatory, OCSAFEST is a cross-conservatory festival that showcases the talents of more than 100 OCSA students and local artists, featuring live music, dance performances, an artisan market, and fun activities for the whole community. Season Finale 2024 is almost here! Please join us as we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our dedicated and talented students and faculty. OCSA is looking for parent/guardian volunteers to assist at Season Finale 2024 on Saturday, May 18. This is a great opportunity to meet other current and alumni OCSA parents, support our bright and talented students in this year’s last big performance, and, of course, to have fun!

Don’t forget to RSVP for this year’s Annual Parent Meeting prior to the deadline on Monday, May 27. These mandatory meetings are held in person on the OCSA campus on the following dates and times depending on your student’s conservatory:

• Monday, June 3 | 5:30 p.m. | 7 p.m.
• Wednesday, June 5 | 5:30 p.m. | 7 p.m.

Please remember that at least one parent/guardian from each family is required to attend this meeting once per school year as a part of the annual enrollment process. 

This year, we will be incorporating a significant portion of the feedback we garnered from the survey that was distributed following last year’s Annual Parent Meetings. In addition to offering a Saturday meeting option, School Leadership will provide a more detailed update on the current state of the school, the vision for the 2024-2025 school year, and the importance of financially supporting your student’s conservatory and academic experience at OCSA through the Conservatory Funding Agreement (CFA) and program advertising. You will also continue to hear from your student’s conservatory director about their goals and vision for next school year. We look forward to seeing you at a meeting!

Attention rising juniors: Applications are now available for the 2024-2025 Professional Mentorship Program. OCSA’s Professional Mentorship Program provides an invaluable opportunity for students to gain exposure to real-world career paths, receive hands-on experience, and make a connection with a business professional during their junior year.

Please click here to apply before the deadline on Friday, May 24. Upon completion of the application, all efforts will be made to match students with an OCSA Board member, alumni, current or alumni parent, or other professional from the OCSA community. Mentors will share their experiences, help explore career options, and give advice about college and/or professional development after high school. The program gives students an opportunity to “test-drive” a career of interest, receive valuable information about the realities associated with a chosen profession, and benefit from the guidance of a caring adult outside the family and school structure.

Please note that OCSA will work diligently to pair as many students as possible with a professional mentor, however, there is no guarantee that all students will be matched. Students will be notified about matches and next steps in the fall.

The deadline to submit your accomplishments to be featured in the spring semester edition of State of the Art is Monday, May 20! We want to celebrate your successes on this special webpage that allows us to share the outstanding accomplishments of the OCSA community, including castings, certifications, awards, scholarships, jobs, special performances, and more. Submissions received after Monday, May 20 will be featured in the fall semester. We can’t wait to see all the exciting things you have been up to!

Perform at Graduation

Senior vocalists, dancers, and instrumentalists in all conservatories: Are you interested in performing at graduation? Don’t miss your last opportunity to perform at OCSA!

Tuesday, June 4 – Textbooks and Devices Return by 1 p.m. (to receive a diploma after Graduation Ceremony)

Wednesday, June 5 – Last Day of School

Thursday, June 6 – Rehearsal at Cottonwood Church, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (mandatory) 

Thursday, June 6 – Graduation Ceremony, check in no later than 5:15 p.m.

Friday, June 7 – Grad Night at Disney California Adventure Park, tentative check in at 1 p.m. in the DMS Quad (bus mandatory), return to OCSA on Saturday, June 8 tentatively at 3 a.m. (bus mandatory). Times are subject to change.

It is very important that seniors and their families read this four-page document carefully, as it contains detailed information regarding the remainder of senior year and graduation.
