This will be the last scheduled Weekly Wrap Friday newsletter for the 2023-2024 school year. We hope you have had a wonderful year and would like to wish our students, families, faculty, and staff a very happy and restful summer! 

While our weekly newsletters will take a brief hiatus during Summer Break, we will be sure to keep you posted with any important news. Our regular newsletters will resume when school starts back up in the fall. In the meantime, be sure to stay connected through OCSA's Facebook and Instagram pages.

Congratulations to all of our new OCSA graduates! In honor of yesterday’s graduation ceremony, we would like to share the following impressive statistics representing this year’s graduates. We are so proud of you, seniors! You are a passionate and talented group of young adults, and we cannot wait to see where you go from here.

The OCSA campus will remain open over the summer to support our school community. The Humanities Tower will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. for parents/guardians and students who may need to drop off paperwork or have specific questions answered. Please keep in mind that we will have limited staff available and that school counselors will not return to work until early August. Lastly, the school will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 and Thursday, July 4 for the federal holidays.

Students planning to enroll in an Advanced Placement (AP) or honors level course for the 2024-2025 school year are encouraged (but not required) to complete summer assignments in preparation for their courses. Please click here to access the 2024 AP/Honors Summer Assignments. These assignments are designed to provide an introduction to the type of work and content that students will engage in and will be assessed on during the first weeks of school. 

Please note: Summer assignments do not require a textbook for completion, with the exception of AP Biology. Students intending to enroll in AP Biology should make plans to check out a textbook during the summer business hours listed above in order to complete the assignment.

Students: If you are interested in participating in any of the following three cross-conservatory collaborations for the 2024-2025 school year, now is the time to prepare! Deadlines for Unleashed, the New Play Fest, and Beyond Borders will begin in September. Students interested in writing for Unleashed or the New Play Fest, please email Josh Woods at josh.wood@ocsarts.net. Writers, dancers, and performers interested in Beyond Borders, please email Olivia Le at olivia.le@ocsarts.net.

As was shared at the recent Annual Parent Meetings, OCSA’s yearlong performance program and Gala program will be fully digital next school year! This change offers expanded opportunities for digital program advertising.

Ad sales officially opened yesterday! OCSA families are now invited to sell or purchase program advertising space. If you own your own business or know of one that may be interested, an ad in OCSA’s digital programs is a great opportunity for exposure to our wide and diverse community. Details, including the ad form, can be found on our website at www.ocsarts.net/Advertising. Hurry! The deadline for ad submissions is Tuesday, August 20.

Time is running out to enroll your student in a unique arts adventure this summer! Register now for CSArts Academy, which offers a variety of arts training opportunities for students ages 5-15 on the OCSA campus.
