CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS BUTTON

Voters narrow the field Sept. 3

Campaign finance activity is available to the public as the Sept. 3 primary election approaches.

A total of 396 candidates who file with OCPF will appear on the ballot, excluding those running for federal office.

You can review funding and spending totals for House and Senate candidates, here.

Campaign finance data is also available for candidates running for county and district offices here.

Banks will submit monthly reports through the Nov. 5 general election, disclosing deposit totals and itemizing expenditures. Candidates disclose donor details.

STATE BQ COMMITTEES FILE SOON

Ballot question committees supporting or opposing the five statewide ballot questions are required to submit their first 2024 campaign finance reports by Sept. 6, then twice monthly through mid-November.

Here's an easy way to think about late contribution reporting: shortly before the election, e-file deposit reports within three days of making a deposit at the bank.

The statutory rules require filing deposit reports for contributions of $500 or more, received and deposited during the dates below, within three days after making a deposit at the bank.

The late contribution reporting period for the primary election is Aug. 17 through Aug. 30 for candidates.

State political party committees also disclose late contributions from Aug. 17 through Sept. 1.

Tip for Candidates:

When making an online contribution to another candidate using your committee funds, ensure you identify the contribution as coming from the committee rather than from your personal funds. Note that there is an annual limit of $100 for contributions from committee funds.

For instance, when entering contributor information into the credit/debit card donation field, use a designation like "Williams Committee" for the last name.

Online contributions are made via merchant providers, such as ActBlue, WinRed, Democracy Engine and Piryx.
