OC Fair Commercial Wine Competition

It's that time of year when we celebrate the medal winners from our competition! Supporting wineries this year will give more wineries next year a reason to enter! Here is how you can help!

• Search for wines on WineCompetition.com and support the wineries by buying a bottle (or two).
• Visit the wineries and take a picture of their medals from our competition. Post them on Social Media and tag us @ocwinesociety
• Follow us on Social Media and like or comment on our postings about the winning wineries.
• Follow the wineries on Social Media and congratulate them on their OC Fair Commercial Wine Competition medals. Don't forget to tag us @ocwinesociety.
• Come to the OC Fair starting on July 19th and purchase tastes or glasses of wine from this year's entries.

Gold Medal Mini-Tasting

Tickets are on sale now!

The Gold Medal Mini-Tasting is a chance to taste many of the Gold Medal and Double Gold wines from this year’s Commercial Wine Competition. The tasting will feature different varietals that won Gold Medals and we try to obtain as many Double-Gold winners as possible. Attendees bring fabulous culinary dishes to share.

This event is always a sell-out, so sign up early!

Volunteer Opportunities

The OCWS relies on its volunteers to put on low-cost, educational, and exciting wine events for its members throughout the year. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities that vary from a few hours to several months, and from no physical work to heavy lifting. We provide the training.

If you are interested in any of the following volunteer opportunities, please use the corresponding link to contact the event chair or complete the form:

OC Fair - Wine Courtyard Teardown - Volunteers needed to help teardown the Courtyard August 19 from 9 AM - 3 PM. No RBS Certification required! Please email Leslie Hodowanec.

Filming and Editing - Volunteers needed to interview and/or film our Vintage Members for our 50th Anniversary Project. We are also need assistance to edit video loops with existing footage. Please email Carolyn Christian for more details.

The July 2024 OCWS member’s photo contest is underway! Entries are continuing to come in, so get out that camera, phone or whatever and get some shots.

E-mail your entries to photo@ocws.org. There is a limit of five entries per member per month.
