Awarded $175,000 in National

Endowment for the Arts Grants

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) recently announced more than $110 million in its second round of funding for 2024, including $175,000 to five Orange County organizations. 


The five organizations are:


Arts Orange County

$35,000 - Arts Project Grant: To support the annual Día del Niño festival


Chance Theatre

$15,000 - Arts Project Grant: To support On the Radar, a new play development program.


Chapman University

$25,000 - Arts Project Grant: To support the Creative Sovereignty Lab, a filmmaker artistic development program focused on Native American communities.


City of Anaheim

$75,000 - Our Town Grant: To support artist residencies, public events and educational programming


Easter Seals Southern California

$25,000 - Arts Project Grant: To support advancing disability and inclusion in film and television

Chapman University Appoints Anne F. Hogan as College of Performing Arts Dean 

Anne F. Hogan has been named incoming Dean of Chapman University’s College of Performing Arts, effective July 15, 2024. With a BA from Harvard University and MA and Ph.D. from Brown University, Hogan has extensive experience in national and international academic leadership within the arts. Prior positions include being the founding Dean of the School of Music, Theatre and Dance at Ithaca College in New York, and Dean of the College of Communication and Fine Arts at the University of Memphis.

OC Theatre Guild Recognizes Achievements in Theatre at Third Annual Awards

The audience settles into the Samueli Theater for the OC Theatre Guild Awards ceremony.

The third annual OC Theatre Guild Awards ceremony was held on May 13 at the Samueli Theatre at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, with a total of 24 awards being presented in 20 categories. The Chance Theater walked away with the most awards, winning nine, while the Curtis Theatre took home seven.

OC Arts Awards Tickets Now Available

Tickets are now available for the 24th OC Arts Awards, which will be held on September 24 in the Samueli Theater at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. This celebratory event brings together the entire arts community for an uplifting evening that includes an honoree and sponsor reception and dinner, an awards ceremony and an after-party for all guests.
