The Ottawa Board of Trade was thrilled to attend Taste for Hope and join our partners from May's Ottawa is Open event at Constitution Square, Canderel, Invest Ottawa, and Ottawa Tourism, in presenting the Shepherds of Good Hope with a donation of over $18,000.
Stéphanie Montreuil, Senior Director Communications & Public Affairs at OBOT and Erin Benjamin, OBOT Board Member and President & CEO at the Canadian Live Music Association were on hand to present David Gourlay, Vice President at Shepherds of Good Hope with the cheque.
As Sueling Ching, President and CEO of OBOT shared that evening, “Ending homelessness drives affordable housing. Which drives talent attraction. Which drives business success. Which drives economic growth. Which drives social justice. And back again. It’s the circle of city building.”
Also spotted at the event was Board Member Devinder Chaudhary owner-operator of downtown restaurant Aiana Restaurant Collective. Thanks to you and chef Raghav Chaudhary for demonstrating what it means to be a good corporate citizen and for contributing to the fight to end chronic homelessness by your donations of time, food and a live auction prize.
We are stronger together.
