Interim Superintendent's Update


Dear Ossining Families & Staff: 


As spring arrives this week, it brings with it a sense of renewal and excitement for the busy season ahead. I hope this message finds you all in good spirits as we embrace the changing of the seasons.


I am thrilled to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Thomas Cong, one of our outstanding seniors at Ossining High School, for winning second place at the Regeneron Science Talent Search 2024. Thomas's achievement has brought great pride to our school district and his success not only reflects his exceptional talent and hard work but also highlights the high caliber of our students and educators. On behalf of the entire Ossining community, I commend Thomas for his extraordinary accomplishment and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.


On March 21-23, don't miss the OHS production of Sister Act—a spectacular showcase of the OHS Drama Club’s talent and dedication. To kick off this exciting event, the Senior Citizens Prom is being held on March 20.


Your participation and input are invaluable as we work together to support all our students. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.

Senior Thomas Cong Wins 2nd Place at Regeneron Science Talent Search 2024


Congratulations to Thomas Cong for his remarkable win at the Regeneron Science Talent Search 2024! Thomas has been awarded second place, along with an impressive prize of $175,000 for his research on cancer metabolism.


Thomas's award is an exceptional achievement of national significance. Each year, thousands of students participate in rigorous research projects, and being selected as a second-place winner demonstrates his commitment, creativity, and extensive scientific knowledge. As part of an exclusive screening event at OHS, Mr. Whitehead's filmmaking students recently showcased the documentary film "Meet Donovan." The film highlights the extraordinary talent of artist Donovan Hernandez.

OHS Musicians Selected for All County Jazz Band


Let's give a round of applause to three of our talented Ossining High School musicians—Luke Zebelman, Michael Guaman, and Jonathan Kang! These exceptional students auditioned for the Westchester County School Music Association All County Jazz Bands, and we're thrilled to announce that all three of them were selected to play in the prestigious "A" band!


Under the direction of Grammy Award-winning Conductor Bill Cunliffe, Luke, Michael, and Jonathan delivered an unforgettable performance on Friday night at Hommocks Middle School in Larchmont.

Huge applause for the OHS Marching Band's spectacular performance in the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade! Under the iconic city skyline, our musicians showcased their dedication, skill, and spirit, representing Ossining with pride and excellence.
