November Newsletter
Hello TAF Family!

Happy Thanksgiving to our TAF Family!

This month we really thought about what each one of us are thankful for. It has been a hard year for so many so the past month we really took time to appreciate and acknowledge the many blessings in our lives and that includes all of you!

This month we were able to continue to give to Wreaths Across America, the North Brunswick Food Bank, and support those in the North Brunswick Community. And we also continued to raise awareness and money to help future giving projects.
And now as hard as it seems we are at the end of year 6 for The Aubrey Foundation. We are excited to move into year 7 - stronger than ever! The Aubrey Foundation started out as 3 cousins who wanted to keep the memory of Aubrey alive and help her complete those bucket list items and it grew into this beautiful and supportive community of people who continue to #LiveLikeAubrey. And over these last 7 years what started out as 3 grew into now 16 individuals that make up our General Board. We did not all know each other but we have become a family. Please enjoy our 2020 General Board Highlights video to see all of the work and memories we have shared over the past 7 years.

We also want to invite you to join us at our year-end General Board meeting which will be held virtually on Monday December 7th at 7pm. If you are interested please email us for the video log-in link. You will get to hear the full update on how the year went and learn more about joining our 2021 General Board and/or one of our Committees (Marketing, Purple for Pappas 5K, Cigar Night, and/or Scholarship). If you are interested in joining or learning more please complete our "Join our TAF Family" form.

We continue to be so thankful for all of your support.

We miss you TAF Family!

Our Events
THANK YOU for making our 2020 fundraising events still possible ... VIRTUALLY!

Since The Aubrey Foundation’s inception, we have counted on our two biggest fundraising events of the year to help us sustain our philanthropy projects - Cigar Night & The Purple for Pappas 5K. Thanks to every committee member, volunteer, sponsor and supporter we were still able to ‘host’ these events this year, albeit virtually! While they may have looked different than in years’ past, we are THANKFUL that both Cigar Night and The Purple for Pappas 5K happened this year in a safe and fun environment.

All things Good with Network for Good

Tomorrow, November 1st, is designated “Giving Tuesday,” a special day for people to donate to their favorite organization(s) as a way of supporting their fund-raising efforts. Right now, with the spike in Covid-19 cases in our area, and with so many people being impacted economically, TAF will be focusing on raising additional funds for the township Food Bank, as there are so many residents who need assistance at this time of year. We don’t want ANY family to go hungry, particularly during the holidays, and the Food Bank really needs our help.
The Pappas Club is underway at The North Brunswick Middle School. The club is opened to all 7th and 8th graders and is led by 8th grade social studies teacher, Mrs. Megan Carroll. The Pappas Club held its’ first virtual meeting of the year on 10/13/20. Their next project will be writing letters or drawing pictures to send to those in nursing homes or to children in hospitals. Mrs. Carroll and the Pappas Club are brainstorming on ways that the club can give back in the virtual environment. The club is excited to start the school year!

Fundraising And Recruiting
How FAR can we go?
Our FAR plan (fundraising & recruiting) was established in an effort to expand our Aubrey Foundation family. Expansion can come in many different forms with the intention, always, to spread our mission, touch more people through our service, and grow our partners. Partners could be new participants at our events, new sponsors, new vendors, new board members and/or new volunteers: all of which are critical to the sustainability and growth of The Aubrey Foundation. If you are interested in joining our efforts in any capacity, please reach out to us – we would love to hear from you:
