Every year, the Saskatchewan Association of Watersheds holds a conference bringing producers, industry specialists, academia, government, and non-government organizations together to share their passion for water. This year’s theme is Water and Agriculture, which focuses on land management practices that can protect water at its source and positively impact communities across Saskatchewan.
Some of the main topics and features of this year’s conference include:
- Regenerative agriculture
- Improving Crop Nitrogen Use and Limiting Nutrient Loss
- Irrigation Development in Saskatchewan

Our Nitrogen Management Workshops were a great success! Thanks to everyone for coming out to Swift Current, Unity, Tisdale, and Weyburn for the workshops. Lots of knowledge exchange on improving nitrogen efficiency, intercropping, soil testing/mapping, funding opportunities, and more!

Christina Berry
Administrative Assistant/Agricultural Drainage Project Support
Christina provides general administrative support and assists producers in agricultural drainage mapping and planning. She grew up on a farm near Carievale, Saskatchewan and graduated in 2020 from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Geoscience. Prior to working for SAW, she worked for the Lower Souris Watershed, focused on water management in agricultural drainage planning and mitigation assessment. Christina enjoys travelling, playing hockey and collecting crystals in her spare time.

Jennifer Redekop
Agri-Environmental Watershed Coordinator
Jennifer is one of the Agri-Environmental Coordinators in the Northeast District. Jennifer, her husband, and their three children operate Redekop Cattle Company. They have a purebred Black Angus herd and an Angus-based commercial cow herd. Jennifer has worked in the agricultural industry for over 15 years, mostly in agricultural research overseeing both small-plot and commercial-scale research trials. When Jennifer isn't working, she enjoys horseback riding with her family, being a 4-H Leader, and chasing the kids to hockey games, horse shows, and cattle shows.
