Catching Up with Yvonne

By Yvonne Cavalli

 President of Bountiful Harvest

Fall is here and Thanksgiving is a couple of weeks away. Dare I say, Christmas is just around the corner.

Normally this is a time of joy, excitement, parties, and all-around happy times. Sad to say this is not a good time for everyone. Not every child will have a smile on Christmas morning. They are not looking to have all the wonderful presents under a Christmas tree, nor a big turkey dinner with all the fixings.

At Bountiful Harvest we are trying to help fill that special need. Since the beginning of COVID, we have tripled our clientele and are adding at least 2 new families each day. Nationwide donations are down approximately 60%, and here at Bountiful Harvest we are right in that percentage. Even though we are 100% volunteer operated and our building is paid for, we still have utilities, etc. to cover. With the economy in a sad state of affairs, inflation everywhere, and the food program cut by 42%, it has become difficult for families to keep up with the basic needs. Meat is expensive, so not much is donated. I could go on, but I feel you get the picture. Families are not going to have enough food. Which means Children will not have enough healthy food. If you can find it in your heart to help these children, any amount donated to Bountiful Harvest will be greatly needed and appreciated. Learn more about how you can make a difference.

With your support we are Mission Possible BY THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE COMMUNITY.

God Bless,

Yvonne Cavalli, President

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I hope you are having a nice fall. I don’t know about you, but I cannot remember one this nice.

Thank You for Your Donations

The Halloween Costume giveaway was a great success. 101 Children received Halloween costumes and countless accessories. They went trick or treating in style!

We will be opening our Christmas store on December 3rd. If you want to drop off toys for the children store, please do so Tuesday - Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and Saturday morning 9:00 - 11:30 am.

We are no longer taking summer clothing or shoes. We would love to have them next Spring, but we have no room to store them over the Winter.

You are so appreciated. Thank you so much for supporting our Clothing Ministry.

 Winter Coat and Apparel Giveaway

On November 12th we will start the Winter Coat and Apparel giveaway. The winter clothing will include coats, boots, snowpants, gloves, mittens, scarves, and hats. Come on in and get your new winter stay warm clothes.

We are allowing one client at a time to come in and shop for clothing, shoes, etc. Please be diligent with how long you spend in picking out clothing as we can only allow 1 person in at a time. You will be asked to leave and come back another time if you take too long. We are extremely busy this time of year and with COVID it is even harder.

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Santa Paws

Visit our Events page for more information.

Pet Food Pantry

Our supply is low! Dog food manufacturers are sending the extra dog food to Florida due to the hurricanes, so we are just about out of dry dog food. Cat food is still a top priority for the Pet Food Pantry. Cat food is very much in demand and there is a shortage on supply from our wholesaler. If you were wondering what to donate to the Pet Food Pantry – moist cat food would be the answer.

Don’t forget about Santa Paws happening on December 3 - 4 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Santa will be taking pictures with your pet and giving them a treat. We will also have treats for our pet owners. Don't miss the fun!
