Hello DeAnn,

I hope you are doing well.  

It is the time of year for reflection and celebration. Tis' the time to gather with friends and family, count our blessings, reflect on the past year, and create a plan for the new year.  

Personally, these last few months have been a challenge. Still, I am not going to dwell on the negative I am looking at the many things I am grateful for, including the impact I know MileStone Academy had on the lives of many students.  

Reopening is a top priority. We will continue to work on strengthening our organization, collaborating with stakeholders and organizations who believe in our mission.  

I hope you will become a MileStone Champion.

Happenings at MileStone Academy

Dr. Armen Henderson founded the Dade County Street Response, a 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofit focusing on physician-led community-broad crisis efforts.

Getting involved in politics has several benefits for a student and their community. For example, the community receives an informed advocate. While the student learns valuable career skills that can be listed on a resume, they may find scholarships and career opportunities. 

Join the movement and give – each Tuesday and every day – whether it is volunteering your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.

November is Native American Heritage Month, or American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month. During this month, celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and acknowledge the significant contributions of Native people.
