Professional Development for Teachers, Administrators and Artists
The Iowa Fine Arts Leadership Team is in the process of developing this summer’s Iowa Fine Arts Education Summit and we’re interested in hearing from you.

The Iowa Fine Arts Education Summit will celebrate the 2017 adoption of Iowa's Fine Arts Standards and offer professional development around our new standards for all five fine arts disciplines - dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts.

Please follow  this link   to complete a quick, two-minute survey to offer your input on conference topics. By sharing your input on this convening, we can better tailor this event to suit your needs.  Survey closes November 16th! Let us hear from you!

Please take and share this survey with any fellow educators, administrators, or community partners that would be interested in learning more about fine arts education and Iowa's Fine Arts Standards. Thanks in advance for your assistance and we look forward to seeing you on June 20th!

This event sponsored by the Iowa Department of Education, Iowa is being planned as a one-day professional learning event, for  Thursday June 20, 2019.

Advocacy Day
The Iowa Alliance for Arts Education is sponsoring the sixth annual Arts Advocacy Day at the State Capitol in Des Moines on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. We are currently recruiting advocates to attend this event.

Advocates will have the opportunity to speak to legislators on the importance of arts education in our state. Advocacy Day will begin with a training session at 8:00 a.m., followed by the opening of Iowa House/Senate and visits to your assigned legislators. In the afternoon, there are will be IAAE presentations to the House and Senate Education Committees.

If you would be willing to be an arts advocate, you can register by clicking the link below.

Final information on Arts Advocacy Day will be sent the first week of January. Please pass on this information to your friends and colleagues.

Thank you so much for your support of arts education in our state!
