4th Annual Eggs on the Beach

Egg Fest anyone? You betcha! This was arguably the best "Eggs" yet. The level of food just keeps getting better as teams are bringing their A+ game to "Eggs." With a record number of teams and tasters enjoying the Southern Garden Party vibe, this year's event received a record $14,500 for Fisher House and Food for Thought. Wayne and Susan do a great job hosting and pouring back into the community. Thanks to Dom, from Clemenza's who was one of the judges! Looking forward to an even better Eggs next year. Susan and Wayne Kiley are THE BEST!

Lilly Pulitzer hosts a day to give back last Sunday
|

Special thanks to Karen and team at Lilly Pulitzer's in Grand Boulevard. They hosted a day of recognition last Sunday to donate a percentage of all their sales to Fisher House. Results pending, hope you were able to find some new treasures and support our mission.

Our house has been full for most of the month and today we placed guests at a local partner hotel due to the overwhelming need to bless families. Because of you we are saying yes to military families who need temporary lodging during a medical event.

Farewell Richard and Donna Dick
|
|
After retiring from the Navy, Richard Dick joined the board of Fisher House. He is credited for starting our speakers bureau, creating the presentation that is still used today and was a regular sharing the Fisher House mission to the newcomers at Hurlburt every two weeks. He and his wife Donna volunteered for many events and this past spring, made a decision to sell the farm and move south. While they didn't really have a farm, they were big supporters and will be missed, especially Richard's great sense of humor and quick wit. We wish them well on this next adventure.

Chief Master Sgt. Brian Creager, USAF, Retired joined our board after his retirement from the 96 Test Wing as Command Chief in April of this year. He served for 30 years and he shared that "making Chief was one of the most humbling experiences ever, but I also committed to working hard every day to make things better for my people. You can never forget where you came from or the fact somebody helped get you to where you are. " We are fortunate to have Bryan's experience leading people and his service before self style with our mission to serve our military families during medical events.
