Day Trip to the Bowers Museum!

Wednesday, Nov. 30, 10:30 am,

meet in Alpert JCC parking lot to carpool

Join us to visit The Bowers Museum and enter into a world of fantasy featuring over 40 works of couture art, personally selected for exhibition by the world-renowned designer Guo Pei -- a creative genius whose work transcends its form or function to be appreciated as an art form. These exquisite creations go beyond the runway and red carpet. They expose the viewer to a wider awareness of China’s cultural heritage and influence.

Due to time constraints at the museum, we will meet at the JCC to carpool to Santa Ana at 10:30 am. (If you are going to meet us at the Museum, let us know when you RSVP.) We will first have lunch at the wonderful Tangata Restaurant; then we'll have some free time to explore the museum, and then meet our docent at 1 pm for a guided tour of this amazing exhibit.

RSVP to programs@ncjwlongbeach.org.

The cost of admission to the museum and special exhibit is $22.00 for seniors. There is no NCJW charge for this event, but none of the important work of NCJW - GLB & WOC is possible without your continued support. Anything you give will contribute to our programs, advocacy work, and many community service projects. We suggest a minimum $18 donation.

Annual Hanukkah Potluck Brunch

Sunday, December 11, 10:30 am, at a member's home

Our annual Hanukkah Brunch is returning as an in-person event! It is being held at a member's beautiful home which will accommodate both indoor and outdoor seating. Come and visit with old friends and make new friends.

Bring your favorite Hanukkah brunch dish for the potluck, an unwrapped gift for For the Child, and a menorah for a group candle lighting. There will be games, music, and time to reconnect with other members, as well as a mini-boutique with four vendors for Hanukkah shopping. This is a great way to start the holiday season.

To receive the location address, please RSVP to programs@ncjwlongbeach.org
