Greater Northside Management District
November 6, 2020
Dear GNMD Friend,

We wanted to ensure that you know about two virtual events in the Greater Northside Management District.

  • On Sunday, November 8, Saint Arnold Brewing Company is hosting its long-awaited Art Car IPA run/walk as a TO GO event.
  • From November 6 to 14, Greater Northside Management District is partnering with Saint Arnold Brewing Company and Precinct2gether to hold its virtual Tour de Northside Bike Ride.

In addition, we need your help! Murals are coming to Granel 2503 Link Road, Houston, 77009. We would appreciate your participation in a brief survey that will help with the mural's design.

Details about these events are below! We look forward to your participation.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Reyna
Executive Director

The Saint Arnold Art Car IPA Run/Walk
is TO GO on Sunday, November 8
Due to COVID 19 the Art Car IPA 5K is officially TO GO. Join the fun at Texas’ oldest craft brewery – Saint Arnold Brewing Companyfor the Art Car IPA 5k, but everything is TO GO.

The event will keep you rollin’ by offering all of the perks of getting your commemorative race shirt, event bib, custom finisher pint glass, Saint Arnold brews (two brews TO GO and one pint in the beer garden), Art Car IPA 5k finisher medal and a Taco Cabana coupon to redeem for a breakfast taco. To register, click here.

While the 5k run/walk will not be offered in its traditional form, you can run at your place (and at your pace) plus the Saint Arnold support crew will be with you virtually, so be sure to download the RaceJoy app.

Additionally, Saint Arnold's partnership with the Greater Northside Management District, means that any funds raised this year will be donated to LINK Houston and their mission to advocate for a robust-and-equitable transportation network so that all people can reach opportunity! To learn more, visit linkhouston.org.

Saint Arnold’s Art Car IPA debuted in August 2015 and was inspired by a fleet of hand-painted Art Cars, which were created by local artists for the brewery and the label artwork was designed by renowned Houston graffiti artist GONZO247, who has painted four Saint Arnold Art Cars. This hip-hop inspired artist perfectly created a brand worthy of a run that will have you running, sipping and then getting groovy on the dance floor (once we can do that again!).
Virtual Tour de Northside
November 6 to 14
The perfect weather that we've been having during the last few weeks presents a great opportunity for a bike ride in the Greater Northside.

This year's Tour de Northside is being held virtually. All you need to do is take a picture of yourself with your bike in a Northside location and post it to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #TourdeNorthside2020. While you are at it, be sure to tag Greater Northside Management District and Tour de Northside.

Then show up at Saint Arnold Brewing Company, 2000 Lyons Avenue, Houston, 77022, between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The first 150 people will receive a pint glass, a cooling cloth from Memorial Hermann, a bag from METRO and other goodies for sharing your picture(s).
