PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Greetings and welcome to our November newsletter. I open with, “what a great casino night”, “best casino I have ever been to.” Casino night was November 2^nd. The minute you entered the archway of red, white, and black balloons you were in the casino pit. Many tables of Black Jack, Roulette, Craps, Poker, and Slots were busy and buzzing with noise and fun. There was plenty of room just to sit, eat, and chat with friends too. All the smiles and laughs said a good time was had by all.

Next on the roster of events for season:

November 29th is our 35^th Anniversary Cocktail party open to all Foundation members. We will provide a complimentary drink ticket, hors d'oeuvres, champagne toast, cake and a “walk down memory lane.” It will be from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm so all you Trivia players can move into that event. Our Holiday Drive will conclude on December 9^th.

Foundation Olympics will be on February 4^th. The Olympics will display skills in golf, tennis and pickleball. Pick a sport to compete in and join in the Olympics. Who knew you would ever play in the Olympics!

Dear Members,

Your generosity through our annual membership drive helps to bring hope and health to families and individuals within our neighborhood. Last season, with your generous support, we were able to award $120,000 in grants to organizations within South Sarasota County. Will you please help us again this year?

If you haven’t done so already, renew your membership TODAY and join us “Together We Make a Difference Across Our Community”.

All levels of membership are welcome and greatly appreciated.

We are celebrating our 35^th Anniversary!

In 1988, sensing a need to assist the local community, a small group of individuals living in the Plantation Golf & Country Club neighborhood got together to form a charitable organization so they could provide help to those in need. This was the beginning of what was to become the Plantation Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity that supports local people, groups and organizations in Venice, Englewood, Northport, and south Sarasota County areas.

Today we have grown to include members from many Sarasota County neighborhoods, like Grand Paradiso, Venetian Falls and Sarasota National.

Since PCF’s inception, the formula of caring and sharing with our neighbors is still going strong and we are successful because of YOU!
