Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Culture

As winter approaches, the cold weather often tempts many people to stay indoors; however, this season presents a unique set of opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts and families to explore everything their local parks have to offer. Winter activities such as hiking, cross-country skiing, birdwatching, wildlife tracking, and incredible winter photography opportunities await you in Beavercreek’s parks.

Throughout the winter, the parks remain open during daylight hours, ensuring you have ample time to explore. It’s important to note that as temperatures dip near freezing, park restrooms and water fountains are winterized and closed until spring, with the exception of the restrooms at Beavercreek Station, which remain open throughout the season. When it snows, please keep in mind that the Creekside Trail bike path is not plowed or treated.

We encourage you to make the most of this season’s beauty and serenity by spending quality time in our parks. Don’t let the cold keep you inside; bundle up, embrace the chill, and enjoy the wonders of winter outdoors!
