Parks and Recreation Master Plan
The parks and recreation master plan has entered it's public information gathering stage. We want to hear from you! This plan will help shape the next ten years of parks and recreation in North Middlesex. There will be a survey coming at the start of next month. Hard copies will be available at multiple locations throughout North Middlesex. Keep an eye on our social media page for updates. There will also be two public open houses to ask questions and provide feedback for the plan. These open houses will be hosted at our community centres. Tuesday November 8th from 6pm-8pm at the Parkhill Community Centre and Thursday November 10th from 6pm-8pm at the Ailsa Craig Recreation Centre. These information meetings are crucial to developing a master plan that suits our communities wants and needs.

Parks - Seasonal Closures
Another great season in our Municipal Parks has come to an end. Staff will be shutting off the water to parks in the first week of November and closing our outdoor washrooms. This will include the washroom at the East Williams Optimist Park in Nairn. Due to excessive vandalism over the past two seasons, the outdoor rink will have an outdoor washroom onsite for the winter months. Thank you to all residents who spent time in our parks this season.

No Burning of Leaves
Residents are reminded that burning of leaves is not permitted. Leaves are accepted at the Transfer Station. Leaves are accepted in paper bags, the owner is responsible to dump leaves out of plastic bags.
