November 2020 Newsletter
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with the love of family and friends both near and far. Maywood Fine Arts is still open with restrictions in place to keep everyone safe. We had lots of things going in November and more to come in December.
Turkey Dinner Drama
Our drama team got a chance to work together in person and, with limited rehearsals, put together a cute short play for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Kids 7-10 can join Drama on Mondays at 4:30PM or Saturdays at 9AM. Kids 11 and up can join Drama on Thursdays at 7:15PM. Learn more at MaywoodFineArts.org
Support Great Artists
We are so fortunate to have amazing guest artists come in from time to time to help teach, inspire, and motivate all of our young artists and we want to support them any way we can. One of those artists, Alexandria Franklin, has her own etsy store and has great holiday gifts featuring her own artworks.
If you are looking for something to watch, Casimere Jollette, another one of our wonderful guest artist teachers, will star in Tiny Pretty Things, a new Netflix drama series that premieres on December 14th!
Spreading Holiday Cheer
The show must go on, but since we can't gather, we will be making spirits bright with lots of photos and videos over the holidays. The dancers are working on their winter production, while musicians will perform their joyous pieces on film. The tumblers will be flipping onto a screen near you, and Karate will be kicking it online. Make sure you follow us on social media for exclusive live performances. *wink *wink
Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity, and equity around the globe. We are so thankful for everyone that shares an interest in Maywood Fine Arts.
