Once again Ontario has recognized and celebrated local agri-food innovators whose ideas and projects are strengthening the province's agri-food sector.

The regional recipients of the 2015 Premier's Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence were honoured earlier this month for their contributions to the creation of new products, adding value to existing products, supporting a sustainable environment, helping support job creation, and boosting economic growth in Ontario

Congratulations to all of the innovative agri-food winners! You can view all of the award recipients on OMAFRA's site here. The  news release from the Aurora ceremony in particular celebrated many innovators within the Golden Horseshoe.

Congratulations to  Halenda's Fine Foods , who have won the top award in the Ontario Finest Meat Competition for the third consecutive time!

Halenda's, a family-run business, is thrilled to have won the Ron Usborne Award of Excellence for the third time in a row, while also taking home 11 product awards.
